Martin Luther King Day Celebrated


The annual Martin Luther King Day celebration sponsored by the Glens Falls Area NAACP drew a large crowd to City Hall to march to Christ Church Methodist for a program on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King. Many are Democrats were in attendance, including congressional candidate Mike Derrick and his wife Kathy, Queensbury Supervisor John Strough, 2015 Family Court Judge Candidate Rob Smith and Wanda Smith, Glens Falls Councilman-at-Large Dan Hall and former 5th Ward Councilman Ben Driscoll. Included in that roster, of course are Warren County committee members Mary Gooden, NAACP Chair, Lee Braggs, NAACP Vice Chair, and former Glens Falls City Chair and County Committee member Roy Thomas.

DEC Commissioner Seggos Speaks In Glen Falls On Gov.. Cuomo's State Of The State


Basil Seggos, Acting Commissioner of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, delivered a presentation on Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s 2016 State of the State Address on Thursday, Jan. 14 at the Crandall Public Library in downtown Glens Falls before a large crowd of officials and guests.
